The wedding morning has an order, and the bride is almost always the last, or the second to last, to sit down. That turn has its reasons.

Why the bride usually takes the last or second-to-last turn

Usually the bridesmaids and the rest of the bridal party have their makeup and hair done first, and you take the last or second-to-last turn. That way, when you finish, there is very little time left before leaving for the ceremony.

The photographer's arrival and the getting-ready photos during the final touches

The first reason is the photographer. They usually arrive in the last minutes of the getting-ready morning, and brides always like to have making-of photos, the ones of the preparation. If you are last, the photographer arrives while I am giving you the final touches, and those photos capture the real moment.

Arriving at the ceremony with makeup and hair at their best

The second reason is that you arrive at the ceremony with your makeup and hair freshly finished, at their best. If you went first, several hours would pass between the end of your preparation and the ceremony, and it is much safer for you to go straight from getting ready to the ceremony.

A flexible order that adapts to how the bride feels

Even so, the order is flexible and depends on how you feel. Some brides get nervous at the thought of being last, in case anything happens, and prefer to start earlier. In that case the turns are swapped without any problem, because what matters is that you have a calm morning.
