Do makeup artists stay at the wedding for touch-ups?

My work usually ends when you leave for the ceremony. But there are weddings where it makes sense for me to stay, and it is a much requested service.

When it makes sense for the makeup artists to stay for the whole wedding

It usually makes sense at long, large weddings and at celebrity weddings, where the bride will be in front of the cameras for many hours. Also when the celebration lasts several days or when there is a photo session after the wedding.

The second look for the party

The most common reason is a second look for the party. You change dress, and your hair and makeup change with it for the evening. I stay to make the change at the right moment, and I tell the photographer what time you will be ready for your entrance, so that the moment is captured.

Hair and makeup touch-ups throughout the wedding

At other weddings, above all celebrity weddings, what is wanted is someone close by all day for touch-ups: a little powder before an important photo, lipstick after dinner, a strand put back in place. That way you do not have to think about your makeup or your hair at any moment.

Why this service is quoted separately

This service is always quoted separately because it takes far more working time than a morning of preparation. It is usually booked for large weddings, and it is quoted by the hour or for a full working day on site.
