On the wedding morning, the room where everyone gets ready becomes a small studio for a few hours. Very little is needed for it to work, but one thing is essential.
A table as large as possible and a socket nearby
The only essential is a table as large as possible, to lay out all the equipment, and a socket nearby. If the socket is a little far away it does not matter, because the team brings its own extension leads.
The most common problem in hotel rooms
In hotels I often find very small tables, or none at all, only the bedside tables. Then a way of working has to be improvised, and the equipment often ends up on the bed, which is far from ideal. So when getting ready takes place in a hotel, it is worth asking beforehand what table the room has.
Why natural light helps, though it is not essential
A room with good natural light is best, but not every room has it. In some, so little light comes in that I have had to work with quite powerful lamps. That is why the team always brings its own lighting, and a lack of light never stops anyone getting ready.
