Most brides write to me once the venue, the wedding planner and the photographer are already booked. It is the natural order of a wedding, and by then the question is usually whether they are still in time.

Why the booking time depends on the season

It depends above all on the month. May, June, September and October hold a large share of the year's weddings, and a single date in those months is sought by several couples at once. The rest of the year there is more room.

How far ahead to book in the busiest months

For May, June, September and October, it is best to book a year ahead, and at least eight months before. If the wedding also needs a team, because many people are getting ready, it is worth moving as early as possible.

How far ahead to book the rest of the year

For a wedding in any other month, booking four to six months ahead is usually enough.

Why a date is only secured once the booking is confirmed

Even so, no amount of notice secures the date on its own: it is secured when the booking is confirmed and the contract is signed. While you decide, I can hold the date provisionally, so that nobody else takes it without you knowing. Besides, as a rule I take on only one wedding a day, so each date can only be booked by one bride.
