A bride, or a mother of the bride, who wears glasses often asks whether her makeup needs to be different. Very little changes, and what does is in one precise place: where the glasses touch the face.

What changes in wedding makeup with glasses

The makeup is practically the same as any other bride's: the same skin preparation, the same base and the same work on the eyes. What needs more attention is the nose, where the nose pads of the glasses rest.

Why the nose is set with extra care

The pads press on the skin and rub it every time you move, and on an unset base they leave a mark or wear it away. That is why I set that area with extra care, so the makeup holds up to the contact as long as possible.

How it is touched up during the wedding

Even so, over the hours the glasses shift the makeup on the nose a little, and that is normal. A touch of the mattifying powder in your touch-up kit now and then is enough: a few seconds that bring back the morning's finish.
