Some brides think about getting hair extensions for the wedding even if they have never worn them. They are not always needed, and when they are, the way they go in matters as much as the extensions themselves.

When extensions are worth it

I only recommend them when the hairstyle needs a volume the hair does not have on its own: a very full updo on fine or short hair, for example. If the style you want fits your hair, there is nothing to add.

Why clip-in extensions are preferred

When they are needed, I prefer clip-ins. They go exactly where the hairstyle needs them and come out at the end of the day, leaving nothing in your hair. How they are chosen and placed is told in detail in clip-in extensions for wedding hair on fine hair.

If you already wear permanent extensions

If you already wear permanent extensions, a wedding hairstyle can still be done, but they need to be placed very well. An updo pulls the hair in directions it never goes on an ordinary day, and a badly placed extension gets in the way, shows or loosens.

That is why they are checked at the trial. If they are not placed well, the best thing is to go back to the stylist who put them in, so they can be repositioned as discreetly as possible before the wedding.
