With curly hair you can wear either an updo or a half-up style.
Both are built on your own curls, which already bring structure and volume. To my taste, an updo works best: the curl gives it more hold and a firmer shape, so it is the one I usually recommend. A half-up, half-down style adapts to curly hair without any trouble too, and if it is what you love, it is just as good a choice.
