Most brides arrive at their trial with a fairly clear idea of what they want, even if they cannot yet put a name to it. Usually it is a handful of photos saved on their phone and a feeling: something romantic, something clean, something that looks like them. The trial turns that idea into real makeup and a real hairstyle, done on their own skin and hair, and shows whether they work with their dress and their wedding.

How the makeup and hair are built during the trial

The trial always takes place wherever you choose, at the venue, at your hotel or at home, and never in a studio. That way you are comfortable in your own space and do not have to travel anywhere, which matters all the more when you are only in Spain for a few days.

By then I already know quite a lot about you. Over the months you send me the photos you like by WhatsApp or email, and through them I come to understand your style and what you hope for from the day. At the trial I start from those references, although none is copied as it is: a photo shows a taste, but it was made on another face and another head of hair.

The skin comes first, because preparing it is part of the trial itself. That is why it helps to arrive with a clean, dry face and clean, dry hair, with no creams or oils. Then I build the makeup and the hairstyle step by step. If I sense that you are very unsure, you look and give your opinion at every step; if not, I choose the moments when it is worth you taking a look.

When the look is right first time and when it needs adjusting

Very often, more often than you might imagine, the proposal works first time. It happens above all when you know what you want and the photos you have been sharing all point in the same direction, so the trial simply confirms an idea that was already settled.

Other times you arrive with doubts, torn between two styles or not yet sure what you want, and that is completely normal. Then the proposal is adjusted, with a softer lipstick, a lower updo or a little less volume, and you look again. There is no fixed number of attempts, because every bride needs her own.

Why the look is adjusted until the bride feels completely at ease

A doubt that leaves the trial travels with you all the way to the wedding, and the wedding morning is no time to resolve it. So I would rather keep adjusting until you can look at yourself calmly, without thinking about what you would change.

During the trial I take photographs of the result, even when you are already happy with it. They help to remember every detail and to see the finish properly. Sometimes they reveal a small flaw or something that could be better, and that is corrected on the wedding day: once I know how your skin behaves and how your hair holds, there is always room to refine. The shades for your touch-up kit, your lipstick and your blush, are chosen there too, so that during the wedding you can bring them back exactly as they were decided.

On the wedding morning, then, there is nothing left to decide. What was tried without hurry is repeated, a little more refined, and you can spend that time with your family and friends rather than in front of the mirror.
